Scott Dillingham

Scott Dillingham is a lifelong martial artist and coach who dedicated himself exclusively to the art of Balintawak in 2015, under the guidance of Manong Sam Buot. Captivated by the system’s direct and efficient approach, Scott immersed himself in its practice and history. Manong Sam became a pivotal mentor, sharing not only the technical nuances of the art but also the rich legacy of its most influential practitioners.

In 2016, at the encouragement of Manong Sam—who described GM Bobby "Silver" Tabimina as the closest living link to founder Anciong Bacon—Scott sought out the Tabimina lineage. He began formal training under Sir Bob in 2017. Over the following nine years of intensive study under Sir Bob, his sons GM Flint and Master Chad Tabimina, and Master Jojo Ygay, Scott achieved the rank of Certified Feeder II.

Beyond his personal practice, Scott excels in organizational leadership and coaching. He has been instrumental in growing the system, establishing nine training groups throughout Arizona and producing high-profile events such as the state’s first Tabimina Balintawak System seminar (2017) and the USA Gathering of the Wolves (2019, 2022). Most recently, he led the 2024 USA Certification and Training Gathering, continuing a long-standing commitment to advancing the art of Balintawak through regional seminars.

After a 30+ year career in technology, Scott is transitioning away from the corporate world to focus exclusively on the propagation and instruction of Balintawak. He brings three decades of professional leadership and instructional design to his mission of preserving and sharing this unique martial heritage.
